I really love that ending. Buffy taking the time and the care to encourage Spike towards real love and care for others. She is trying to explain to him that real love for another isn't about the self (what he desires from her, or his desire to have her, as represented by the buffybot), but is in fact, selfless and generous, as demonstrated by him taking on pain that could have been hers. Amazing moment.
