Wonder Woman vs. Formicida
Added 2020-11-13 13:01:03 +0000 UTCSuper Fan David Hughett suggested another Wonder Woman piece for this month, and I decided...why not? I'm getting pretty good at drawing our favorite Amazonian princess, and I knew I could come up with another awesome scene.
The classic 1975 Wonder Woman TV series is always a treasure trove of peril ideas, and David suggested I incorporate Formicida. Formicida is a female villain who manages to control little ants (yes, the bugs) and she also has some form of super strength. She was able to match Wonder Woman in hand to hand combat.
I ran with this idea, and drew a scene where Formicida is able to knock out Wonder Woman and escape with her magic lasso! I think you guys will enjoy this little reimagination.

Looking at the pic again -- yup, this is quite an amazing KO-Peril scenario! This should have happened more often in the television show.

Love the set up of the piece, very much has either a comic cover or last shocking panel feel here :) Formicida is like giving one last line to Wonder Woman. "Enjoy your nap Wonder Woman, now that I have your lasso, nothing can stop me!"
