Wow! You all came through! This was extra-tense for me as you were choosing between my two faves (the later Godzilla was more pear shaped…). But, Mothra came through!
I loved Mothra growing up but, have learned so much more this past day as I did some research. Japanese has no “th” sound so the name is pronounced “mosura”. Mothra was also in the company of tiny, twin female fairies, termed Shobijin (小美人), meaning "little beauties". The Shobijin were almost shinto-style priestesses for Mothra.
Now, WHO and HOW should become a big, sexy anthro Mothra (which I’m SO looking forward to designing!). Costume-wise, this is going to take place in the 60s…
