Coffee with Sarah (illustration for an unwritten story)

I’ve been working on a short story for a few months now. However, this is NOT an illustration from it!

It is, however, a daydream of sorts that is a rip-off of the story I’m working on. That’s right, I ripped off my own unfinished story. The story in-progress is based on an illustration from a couple of years ago and will have a piece-by-piece TF driven by the words of a magic user.

Where does this image come in? This morning I was sketching and the big girl came out. Then, I hit the couch as I’m recovering from a VERY mild bout of COVID (so mild, I thought it was a cold until I tested) and sort of day-dreamed a story…

Man gets chatting with a girl at the store where he works. They for coffee across the street; just as friends. Odd but, well-dressed young man plops down at the table. Turns out he and the girl, Sarah, were childhood friends and both had an aptitude for magic. He’s now, what he thinks of as, an evil magician; using magic for his own gain and randomly transforming folks.

He decides to transform the protagonist into a subservient bimbo just to spite Sarah but, he offers a game. He’ll offer a change, Sarah can negate any change with another but, he can mitigate the mitigation.

For instance, he says he’ll change the protagonist into a buxom bimbo, Sarah negates that, saying she should just be a regular girl. He mitigates THAT making her fat.

Or, He decides to make her voice grating on the ears. Sarah says her voice should be sweet. He mitigates that by making her soft-spoken.

In the end, he is a tall, fat, nerdy, quirky, hipster girl with some new compulsions and interests; the baddie gives her three envelopes and lets her pick her new artistic/musical obsession (haven’t thought of what, but her pins reflect it in some way).

You’re probably asking: Why am I doing this rather than just writing it? As I said, it’s ripping myself off and I’ve already got lots of time, writing and typing of the story to come.

This big girl pic and her smaller companion (based a customer IRL) was drawn just this AM and was inked and colored over the last two hours. Some slight experimentation with the shading. Sure, the poses aren’t the best (a quickie, after all) but, I’m still happy with it.
