Those officers tortured that young man. They read him his rights when he could not consent, they abused him in the interrogation... that was infuriating. If you have a loved one who suffers from addiction and you have experienced an emergency while they are under the influence then you know they are not in their right mind. I have had to have my brother arrested and he eventually killed himself at the age of 32 because he could not stand the pain he was in or the pain he was causing. That young man had no recollection, was so drunk, he just shot his parents whom he loved, he was so far from normal behaviour and they're stuck on why he put his hands up? That audio was disgusting, I finally stopped. No punishment, no sentence, no one will hate him or punish him more than we will hate and punish himself for what he did that night. I can't stand the thought of finding out where he is now or what became of him. Until you have lived through the traumas of substance abuse, even acutely, the pain of watching a good person destroy everything... you just have no idea. This is so sad.

This was such a good one, this podcast is just like no other and I listen to ALL of the true crime ones. the recordings from interviews and this 911 call combined with the story telling is just the best in the true crime world.
