On September 20th, 2021, at the Oak Shores Campground in Decatur, Michigan, Richard Rohrer contacted 911 to report his wife, 64-year-old Melody Rohrer, missing. The concerned call was made when Melody did not return from her daily walk, which she had done nearly every single morning before. After some extensive searching, authorities discovered some of Melody's belongings scattered on the side of the road, next to a pair of skid marks left from a large vehicle. After filing a subpoena for her phone, they found it was still active and were able to ping its location to a damaged truck sitting in a Walmart parking lot in Oshtemo township. In that vehicle sat 29-year-old Colby Martin. What at first seemed like an open-and-shut case would soon prove far more disturbing the deeper they dug…
