Amberly hadn’t shown up for work in several days and her employer became concerned after not hearing from her. When local law enforcement arrived at the Somerset Pond Apartments located in Independence, Kentucky, they knocked on the door and eventually… someone answered. However, it wasn’t Amberly. Instead, officers were met by a strange, disheveled 55-year-old man named Tommy Joe Powell. When police asked if he knew where the missing woman was, he responded only by saying that he’d “lost control,” and that Amberly… had “passed away.”
