Lens / Sun Flares can be good or bad for your photos. Good because it can add that final touch, and produce vibrant results to your images, and bad because it can reduce contrast and create ugly artifacts that’ll ruin your shot. That’s why, if you’re a fan of flares (or your client), it’s best to create the flare in post-production.
