Mental illness and violent delusions that are overlooked and left untreated on the other hand, can produce some of the most terrifying symptoms imaginable. Even so, it’s very rare for anyone with poor or declining mental health to become violent, nevermind homicidal. At the Pentagon, just across the river from Washington, D.C., one man did, after killing a police officer in 2021. Sadly, his younger sibling, 22-year-old Matthew Lanz, would decide to follow in his big brother’s footsteps, not even 3 months later…

2023-02-10 20:20:43 +0000 UTCThis is scary. I'm listening to this as police officers are looking for a felony offender in my area in Gatineau and two armed men in Lanark County in Canada. Staying inside. We need to do more to the mental health system. My heart goes out to all the victims in this story and the offender's family.
