Of course as adults we want our kids to share those same fond memories with their pals…but only if they’re safe. In 2021, 11-year-old Connie Gent called her parents after a sleepover. She wanted to know if she could stay one more night. They said yes, but what Connie’s mom and dad never could have known was that when they hung up the phone with her that evening, it would be the last time they’d hear their daughter’s voice ever again.
