After reaching out to friends and the father of the couple’s child, Cassandra’s sister reported her as missing. As detectives worked the case, they were notified by Cassandra’s ex-boyfriend, 53-year-old Henry Steiger, that after the birthday party she told him that she was leaving on a vacation with no return date in mind - and asked that he not try to contact her while she was gone. But soon, all the secrets surrounding Henry’s shady business dealings would lead detectives to the horrifying truth of what really happened the night of their daughter’s first birthday party.
