In July of 2018, 28-year-old Brian Racine took a chance to better his life. After suffering through a bout with mental illness and unable to obtain his prescription medication, the father of two moved from California to Utah with hopes of joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But this move was made hastily and Brian found himself living on the streets in Ogden, Utah. On the evening of August 15th, a month after arriving in town, Brian was nestled near a fire in the transient camp he had been living in when two shadowy figures emerged seeking to wreak havoc on anyone they came across.
