Crap, that's hugely disappointing although a bit odd. Did they say this recently? With Adam gone, I cannot really see what else they could want to see. I sincerely hope the two companies manage to come to terms as a lot of money was invested in the Kickstarter and the Patreon exclusive BOTC is a big pull for the Patreon. I will keep supporting them for a while yet to give them a chance to work all this out but it will be a struggle to justify it when I reassess my Patreon subs at the end of the year (I review all my subs in December each year) as life continues to get harder and more expensive here in the UK and the pulls to paying for NRB content are being removed. To clarify I do not include Adam as a pull, no offence to him but while I enjoy his on-screen character it was and is the cast that drew me into NRB and I did have some Adam related issues.

Can't see alot more BOTC with The Pandemonium Instute issuing a statement that they are pausing working with NRB while all this goes on. Starting to consider whether my patreon contribution is worth it!!

I do hope we get an update on Lord of the Board. I feel like I was going crazy, remembering a preview for it and then just never seeing it mentioned again.

I'm wondering this as well. Was really hoping that a BotC video would be out today, but nothing so far, aww.. I know NRB have a lot going on right now, but oh it's been ever so long since BotC, and it's been so dearly missed! <3

Posted this above, but bears repeating: Matt Lees is absolutely entitled to his opinion about people and practices, but I do think he was misleading in terms of the transparency at play. TDM's financials and related documents are all publicly available (as they must be by law). The things that were stated publicly are backed up by them and Alex Shane does not have a "controlling" interest, though he does have shares and voter privileges - facts publicly available since 2021. By all means, everyone has to do what they are comfortable with, but we also all have unprecedented access to data and information. We also need to take responsibility for how we individually consume media. It is miscategorizing both past and present to say that there is a coverup and nothing Matt Lees posted provided any proof of that (just speculation).

Matt's post on Twitter was interesting, but not substantive. I searched for an hour and could not find any mention of the allegations against Alex "Shane" Spilling ever having been tried in court or otherwise substantiated. I don't want to look like I'm defending a sexual predator, but I also don't think someone should be blackballed based on untested accusations. "Innocent until proven guilty," and all that. Yes, guilty people get accused of things they've done, but innocent people also get accused of things they haven't done, and people will use that as a weapon if they can get away with it. Now can we please cease speculating while we wait for facts?

Who is Matt Lee and what have they posted?

In light of Matt Lees’ posts which I only read this morning, I’m cancelling my Patreon Subscription to NRB. Didn’t really know anything about TDM or it’s ownership of NRB, I’m purely here for the games and the fun but I really do not feel comfortable contributing now knowing who’s pockets I’m lining. I think Oli needs to be front and centre on this with transparency, and communications. I love seeing Laurie, Sully, Holly, Blair, Dom, Tilly and the rest of the cast and they were the reason for me subscribing to the Patreon and contributing to both BotC kickstarters in the first place. I really feel for them now and hope they knew nothing of the goings on with Adam et al. If they were to continue under a different guise/ management I would definitely contribute again but for now, I’m out. I’ll still follow on Twitter and subscribe to the YT channel just to see what the resolution to this mess turns out to be.
