A message from No Rolls Barred
Added 2023-08-21 20:00:03 +0000 UTCThank you to those of you who have contacted us in recent days. We are fully aware of the concerns that are being shared on social media.
We take all such matters incredibly seriously. We can confirm that when this was first brought to our attention we immediately began an investigative process. We have been diligently working with a number of leading companies including, but not limited to, those that specialise in human resources and internet law. The fact finding part of that investigative process is still ongoing.
Until the process is concluded, we are very limited in what we can share publicly at this time, due to our commitments with regard to both UK employment and data protection laws. We’ll provide further information if and when we can, while at all times respecting our legal and other responsibilities, and our commitment to the well-being of our cast, crew and community.
This is an incredibly difficult period for all involved and unfortunately several of our team have been subjected to harassment on social media, despite having nothing whatsoever to do with the matter in question. We are of course doing all we can to support our team, including offering 24/7 access to therapy sessions should they want it. While we believe that such communications come from a well-intentioned place, we deeply urge everyone to fully consider the impact on unrelated cast and crew’s welfare.
It is due to these concerns that we decided not to post this statement on social media, and instead host the statement here. It is publicly available, so anyone can read it.
We very much appreciate the continued support that you are showing us as we endeavour to handle this matter in the right way for all concerned.

2023-09-11 13:58:31 +0000 UTCI've just cancelled for the same reason. It doesn't help that they put most if not not all of the stuff you'd want to watch on a high tier making it more expensive than it has to be.

2023-09-03 09:08:26 +0000 UTCI think people need to be careful of jumping to conclusions, the full story may come out one day, it also might not. Also one persons version of the truth might not match anothers. Relationships between people are complicated they change constantly in some cases where it's a newer connection and trust is forming or lost. All that's clear is that there was a period of time where both people potentially involved seemed to get on very well together on screen/social media and then something changed drastically, distancing was made, now this has come out and here we are.

2023-09-01 23:44:26 +0000 UTCI commented to you there as well--- why would you assumed she "made the first move" and did anything wrong?! That's upsetting that you'd jump to that conclusion. :/

2023-08-31 23:28:41 +0000 UTCI'm not renewing but I want it clear it's not due to this, money has become tight and I'm sure to come back if things improve, keep up the great work everyone
2023-08-31 18:17:08 +0000 UTCIf you go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYW4SY-VcGU&t=1054s (BotC episode, at 17:34), you see Carley flirting with Adam and stubbing his nose, with him visibly irritated by it, and her establishing physical contact. I wonder if this is the moment the whole "Schlammassel" started to come down.

2023-08-31 12:08:43 +0000 UTCFor anyone demanding an explanation, sit tight. I am sure one will come, they have more pressing matters to deal with. Id rather they did a good job of it, then spend precious time keeping us updated - maybe I am less nosey than most? Also, if you are threatening to withdraw your subscription. Do it. If you care about the crew or people, and helping them resolve this, then cancelling your pledge is the last thing they need. On the other hand, if you are a strong supporter of Adam you might want to do it anyway, I doubt he will be making a return after this.

2023-08-25 02:30:42 +0000 UTCI just feel terrible for all of the rest of the cast and crew who put so much time and effort into this channel. IMO it is the absolute best gaming channel by a large margin. Honestly I'd never heard of Adam's past until this came to light, and it makes me sad to know how many lives his actions will and have effected.

2023-08-23 18:49:08 +0000 UTCThe statement may have taken five minutes, but it likely also had to be vetted by lawyers and HR professionals. It may expose them to criticism, but everyone also needs to recognize that they will never be able to provide the full story. The law doesn't work that way when it is an issue between an employee and an employer. I had an employee threaten to go home, get their gun and shoot me. When we get called from that person's future employer's, I'm required to say "I can only confirm her start and end dates of employment. She was removed from her post due to disciplinary action" even though the whole threatened to shoot me thing is probably pretty relevant. I dealt as a manager with an issue of sexual misconduct that necessitated a 3 month investigation. When asked by clients where that person went, I'm only allowed to say "They stepped away from the role." The only way the full story will come out is if the accuser or the accused chooses to tell their story - not least of all because no one wants to out the victims either, I would hope. If Carley was a victim - which is not clear from her comments. I personally took it to mean she was a bystander - she could choose to go into more detail. Adam could choose to go public (he did in 2017). His employer and other employees of the company won't be able to and they have likely asked guest stars not to as well. I full want to see the accused punished and removed from the channel, but people acting as though there are all of these things a company can do without knowing the law is frustrating.

2023-08-23 14:56:08 +0000 UTCA pro forma statement like this takes five minutes for the relevant professionals to write. Those same professionals, presuming they are at all competent in their field, would also have known about and warned about the fact that not getting ahead of the discussion would only expose you to large amounts of criticism. Despite that, NRB chose to wait upwards of two weeks to make any kind of statement about the matter - and, from what I've read elsewhere, not only actively suppressed discussion about it but *selectively* suppressed discussion only when that discussion was in support of one specific viewpoint on the matter. I hope once legally allowed to provide the full story, you will explain why.

2023-08-23 02:21:41 +0000 UTCEveryone should just wait for the investigation to finish before making judgements. In the old days, anybody making sweeping accusations and judgements would have been dragging “witches” to the pyre as they had a black cat! It will be enlightening to see if a “crime”, from a legal point of view has been committed, otherwise it is just subjective interpretation from the person viewing the situation, without any facts. If you enjoy board games, and a lovely bunch of people having fun playing them, continue to support this channel. If you don’t, then unsubscribe. Everything else is just nonsense.
