Surface Attraction 45 Minutes Step-by-Step Tutorial

Okey Friends,

this one is for all of you, who felt a bit confused by the project surface-attraction scene breakdown and fell better with a step-by-step tutorial.

Be warned: This is me more or less in real time going through the technical setup, so it´s a bit longer/slower this time and I try out some different settings along the way.

Anyway, I hope that it can be a benefitial lesson for some of you.

Oh Keith, I sadly dont have a clue... I would also have to go through the whole technique again to find the error...

When I try to cache the simulation within Particle Geo, all the particles disappear. Can you think of any reason this would happen? I've tried both Cache Object and Cache Scene and both same result. Cheers

oh wow I just figured it out. It's pretty silly. When I check on display box for the field... for some reason it's required to fully refresh position. Thanks ! :)

Hey Markus, do you know why there might be a case when the particles flow to the object but aren't refreshing position from the vibrate tag? They just stick to it as if it's not moving and the shape itself is moving. I'm looking through some settings to find something...

That makes WAY more sense haha, good reminder!

Cool effect, nice tutorial, try using the mesh emitter too, that way you don't have to fire the particles from the emitter initially.
