I think Carley and Ben should switch indefinitely

Cakey

Sully's announcement at the beginning and Jon's monologue at the end should have alluded to atheists not believing in the existence of supernatural beings in general, and in this story, demons. Would've tied into the story more nicely in the end that the villagers decided to ditch their god(s) and it turned out there was a demon amongst them and they were inevitably destroyed.

Ken is soooo great at this game with the double bluffs. You never know when or if you can trust anything he is saying, ever.

Steven Scott

I loved watching the chaotic play from so many people! Tom, Ken, even Sully for much of the game kept people guessing and confused

Player13

I think it was just that it's something I try really hard not to do myself, something that I'm always afraid that I'm doing, so I saw it in someone else when it probably wasn't really there.

Jordan Robertshaw-Jowett

I also think that Carley enjoyed "playing" against Ben, which she mentioned when talking about atheist being her favourite script to be a ST. So Ben was up against the Jon rivalry meta, one of the best NRB players in Holly, the best minion player in Ken and Carley wanting Ben to think it was a ln Atheist game. I will also say that Ben social read Holly as evil on day one.

Crapoleon

Well done everyone. I do feel for Ben, he could have been right. Ken voting for Holly at the end was very clever. Holly....how are you so cool under pressure?! Thanks for a great episode.

Tammy Driessen

Was so much fun seeing Daddy Ben play at last :)

Alan Walshe

Adam and Carley do this too though. One of the skills of the game is being able to convince other people of your worldview, there's nothing wrong with using that. Adam has cost the good team the win before by selling everyone on an incorrect version of events. It's all part of the game.

Steven Hanley

You were great as a player. The main point of a game is that everyone enjoys themselves and I'd hate to see Ben not play at his full capacity and enjoy himself just because he's an experienced player and storyteller.

CallistoWarriorQueen

Or a Pelican

Rasmus Forchhammer

That was just...insane! Well done everyone!!!

Caledronius

Now rewatch the entire video and only watch Jon’s face 😂 #DaddyBenStan, but this was perfection

Cholula Chipotle, Blair!

I think we're going to need a ruling...

Can't say I agree with it either, it would be good to see you as a player again. In the context of this game you had a rivalry which was entertaining and it correctly factored in to the whole thing. That wouldn't be the case every episode. As long as it's entertaining, we don't mind, look how many really enjoyed this episode. But what happened to Adam's apology :) He was right after all (but for the wrong reason). There was a good moment where you suggested the players build out Vigormortis world as the other possibility, but the group didn't run with it and you didn't commandeer them to push it

I absolutely do not agree with the previous comment, I think Ben you were doing what any player would and should do. It is much harder to be a player than a spectator assumes. I really enjoyed seeing you as a player.

Réka Kristó

I too am conflicted on Tom. His refusal to remove the double Monk claim really led Ben to being adamant about Atheist though. So I think you COULD claim he should win.

...and this is why I'm often reticent to play in front of an audience. There's this expectation of me that I'm going to be this all-knowing, perfectly wholesome participant. But I'm not. I'm just a normal guy who makes the same errors every normal guy makes. I get excited and blurt stuff out in the same way that anyone would. I'm no better a GM or player than you or anyone else. - Ben

Blood on the Clocktower

I am not sure if Tom won or not. I am not sure he is the ”most responsible” due to how vocal Ben was or how much misinformation there was due to Mara (not their fault)

“Get on snowboard” was right there Jon

Joseph Ravinskas

Did Tom win or no

Holly just whipped out the best singing performance I have seen in my life out of NOWHERE!

This was way too funny. Well done evil team, sorry daddy Ben.

She gave a solid reason he should've turned and won during the reveal, but never said that he did. She also later says that Mara's six yes's contributed largely to the Atheist world, so I assume it wasn't given to him based on that? Really no clear answer in the video other than him not being a red token or otherwise mentioned as turning.

Kyle B

I'm pretty sure TOm got the win with evil judging by his work, all you comment that one hundred percent makes sense and I thought Carley said he did. Might be misremembering

willowthewisp91

Absolutely loved this episode. SPOILERS: Did Tom not turn? I would've 100% let him win with evil for both confusing the number of Outsiders and convincing town there were at least two Monk tokens handed out, all against the tough situation of a Fisherman having info that damns him. He perfectly pulled the strings to look like a sincere Monk while still searching for evil team. I don't think Ben was right that a Politician didn't earn their win by that point, ironically because the Politician wasn't taking his bait in asking them to out themselves. By staying silent, they were pushing that evil Atheist win. A Politician that outs at that point is 100% stuck good, because there's no way out at that point. They've given the count away, which is the key to good solving the game.

Hope Brooke finds her hot sauce!

I enjoyed this, but I do think Ken has got to the point now where he is effectively just ignored in the town square. Im not sure whether or not this is generally an effective strategy, but its both pretty dull and very helpful when on the evil team of an atheist script. Ben correctly pointed out on day 2 that if Ken was good he should just immediately come out as mad - and as he was claiming Goblin the fact that he didnt meant that he had to be evil and thus not an atheist game.

I'm a 'forever DM' (someone who almost always plays as DM in D&D, and only occasionally gets to play as a player.) From that perspective, I think Ben comes across very poorly in this game, especially in the last day. Since he's a hyper-experienced player and forever-DM playing as one of the party, he acts in a way that someone in that role shouldn't: 'Big Leaguing,' commandeering too much of the conversation, presenting things other people raised that were merely improbable as impossible, shoving his worldview too hard, dismissing other people's worldviews too hard... He should have backed off, let the usual players have more of the spotlight and presented his opinions as just that, opinions. Just my IMO, and this doesn't prevent this from being one of the best episodes ever.

Jordan Robertshaw-Jowett

This might be the best game yet. Absolute scenes. Tom found the perfect approach with the double-claim, Ken was hilarious and perfect, and the Atheist dynamic was amazing.

Noony x33

So many people wearing abhorrently patterned sweaters, yup, this is that Christmas special.

Niko

HOLLY! Your voice is amazing babe!!!

Noony x33

Marry Christmas for all! Congrats for Ken and Tom for outstanding play!

this game frustrated me in the sense that it felt evil were getting handheld throughout the game but also loved it as a trolling ben game.

David McGill

I agree with Ben how was Adam so sure? I usually barrack for evil but this game I really wanted Ben to show NRB how it is done. Unlucky Ben

Brendon

I’ve been wondering when Jon might join the ST side of things. Yay! Carley did a fabulous job as ST as well. I was also worried about Ken’s plays but they all worked out brilliantly. He’s grown a lot in this game!
