40 Minutes Long Version of Vertex Map Waves Tutorial

Hi Friends,

I just recorded 40 minutes for this vertex map wave effect. I also share the light setup and how to build the shaders in Redshift.

Have a nice weekend!

But...just be sure, you do it exactly like I did... (or maybe it´s a bug? I don´t know)

Oh man, thats sad to hear... I´m really sorry, sadly right now I dont have time to dive back into the technique and can´t give you the correct answer.

I got all the way to the end, but it wont change colors. When i plug in the RS Standard Material into output it shows the different color, but when i put it into the blender it goes back to all black? any suggestions?

!!! I didn´t knew that

Ah! the object has to be editable! damnnnn

hello guys, i have a problem with vertex maps. When i add to redshift note c4d vertex, its not runing black and white. Its acting like have alpha. So mask is not working. Do you have a solition for this. Screenshot- https://ibb.co/kqNYLsX

Thanks for the tutorial! I had a bit of an issue with my cloth simulation and I figured I would post a comment in case someone else is experiencing the same thing. I initially started the project on a small scale object. I realized this because having the cloth "thickness" setting at the default 1.5 made my object deform on frame 1. After I scaled my object up that deformation did not happen anymore, however I did have some artifacts seemingly randomly appearing once the simulation started. I figured out that for some reason the cloth tag was spawning particles on the new vertex positions (object scaled up) and the previous vertex positions (original object scale). This made some weird intersections. The only was I was able to see this is when I went to Ctrl+D -> Simulation -> Draw -> Draw particles. This will visualize the thickness of your particles and in my case I was able to see I was spawning extra ones. After deleting the cloth tag and adding a new one my problem was fixed. Hope this can help if anyone is having a similar issue.
