Love the topic. In my talks with other people, the most convincing argument I've heard to be an automatic contrarian is to encourage a multipolar world. But that means you end up cheering for the worst abuses of every antagonistic country...

2020-01-20 03:34:03 +0000 UTCYep, this is a good topic. I also get sick of people accusing me of supporting those governments when I'm critical of the USA or UK. I also have a sneaky suspicion that if those governments, particularly in Iran, would not have lasted if they weren't continually threatened by the US (and others). It is difficult to overthrow your dictatorship when a much bigger problem is just waiting in the wings to take advantage of any unrest.
