Everything You Need to Know About the Next Update

What’s New, Release Date for the Next Update, and Community Changes: Let’s Check It Out!

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing great. The release date for the new update is getting close, and with it, we’ll have several changes coming, so I wanted to talk a bit with you about that.

⚠️ First Things First: This Is Not a New Chapter

The new update is NOT a new chapter, but rather a remake of the first chapters, along with improvements and new gameplay features.

Even though it’s not a new chapter, this update took a LOT of work (maybe even more than making a new one). So, I’ll keep the same release system I used before, with a small tweak:

• 🏆 Legend Tier → first access

• 💖 Lover Tier → after that

• 🌹 Follower Tier → next

• 🎀 Supporter Tier → 3 days later

• 🌍 Public release → one week after that

At first, I thought about releasing the update to everyone at once (or all paying members on the same day, followed by free players), but after thinking about it, I realized that wouldn’t be fair. Neither to me nor to the paying members.

✨ What’s New in This Update

Now, let’s talk about what’s new in this update, and it’s quite a lot:

1. Complete art update for Chapters 01 and 02, including scenes, backgrounds, photos, and Ana’s first sprite.

2. A brand-new phone interaction system, giving you a small taste of what’s coming next (I’ll talk more about that later).

3. Total remake of all game sounds — now you’ll be able to adjust the volume for music, ambiance, SFX, NSFW SFX, and character voices separately (no, we don’t have actual voice acting yet).

4. Major UI and settings revamp, making the game not only prettier and more unique, but also easier to navigate.

5. New visual effects during gameplay.

6. New AI-generated animations.

7. Code improvements that make the game lighter, more stable, and smoother when handling player choices (at least, that’s the plan, haha!).

8. And a few new art additions here and there.

As you can imagine, that’s a lot of stuff! Honestly, I didn’t plan on implementing this many changes at first, but once I saw the potential of these improvements, I couldn’t resist. As I’ve said since the very beginning, I want My True Desire to be an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone, and I’m giving it my all to make that happen. I truly hope you’ll enjoy the new additions and improvements.

🗓️ About the Release Date

This time, I’ll do things a bit differently.

For now, I won’t set an exact date. There are still things I need to work on, especially in the code, and I honestly don’t know how long they’ll take. I don’t want to promise a specific date only to delay or release something incomplete.

The new art is already done, which is the biggest change, but I want the full experience to feel much better overall.

The only thing I can confirm is: the update will start rolling out by the end of October at the latest.

💬 Community News

After this update goes live, the official Discord server will finally open to the public! 🎉
We’ll also be holding a special community event where everyone will get to help shape Chapter 05!

The event will let the community decide things like:

• 👗 The cosplays the characters will wear (yes, they’re going to an anime convention!)

• 🧩 Episode events and scenes

• 🎭 Random cameo characters

• …and much more!

I’m still finalizing the details, but this event will be an amazing opportunity for fans to directly influence the story and have fun together.
