patreon

patreon revamp

hey, just wanted to let you all know we're going to be adjusting some goals and adding another incentive for being our patrons. we want to maintain the model we built this patreon with by having absolutely no exclusive content, but instead, coming to all of you for help in making certain decisions.

like how y'all had been picking the covers by voting (which we've had to put off while working on our second album), we're going to be starting a re-issue of old merch designs about once a month that patrons will vote on to add back into our merch store.
if we can figure out how, it might be nice to give y'all early access to merch too to make sure you're able to get it before it sells out since you'll be the ones requesting which merch gets re-added.

we'll be setting that goal and hoping to reach it soon, maybe within the next month so be on the lookout for that.

we'll be continuing taking your questions for the podcast, but we've been running into scheduling conflicts so we haven't been able to record this month. we'll likely be doing the next episode next week.

lastly, if you're someone who's been waiting for us to reach tabs and sheet music goals, I'm sorry to say we're going to be taking those goals off and just focusing on easily tangible goals since this band still isn't most of our full time job yet. those added amounts of work are a little too much to keep up with while trying to finish the next album and we hope you can understand.

can't begin to tell you all how thankful we are that you're still here through this model of patreon. if you have any suggestions of other things you might be interested in (that are not exclusive) feel free to reply below and we can get talking.

I think a really good way to supply consistent patreon content for a band, especially during the process of creating an album, is consistently making fun little status updates of the process. Write a little blurb about what's going on or a fun thing that happened and include a little audio clip of some weird thing during production or a video of y'all messing around, then when the album is out you can throw out demos or fun bits from a tour or something. Depends on how exclusive you want to be, the video clips could be thrown in a documentary/social media and the audio/demos can be put up on the website some time later. Just consistent fun bits, I think people will dig it
