Inking "Greatures" #10
Added 2024-07-12 17:47:45 +0000 UTCHere's a sped-up video I took of me inking the latest Greatures strip (number 10). It's mentioned in the video, but the song is "Ebb Tide, Azure Sky" by The Unicorns and is poorly mixed and obnoxiously loud on purpose. I turned it down when editing, but feel free to complain anyway. It's a favorite song of mine to be honest, so don't actually complain cus I won't care.
Other relevant information: Shot this on my phone (iphone 15). Pens used mostly were Copic Multi-liner sizes 05 & 08 and the Kuretake No.7 Brush Pen (Fine).
I tend to stand when I draw at a big ikea drawing desk that can go up and down electronically. Standing when I draw helps my back and such. I also only really work digitally, save for sketchbooks and the like. Greatures is special cus I bought the big sketchbook I was drawing in for these strips. They are drawn at 15 inches wide and 6 inches tall.
The video is also sped up times 2. So only the inking part you saw took me under 15 minutes to do. Save for when I wandered over to my computer to pick a new youtube to listen to while inking.

I haven't really heard many tracks like this, turns out I really like how sludgy this sounds also I really like the lettering on whorf it's very evocative
