Back to the normal stuff! And the Freak Family again. I tried to pitch them as a show some years ago, a show about a family sitcom that's been going on for 100 seasons and we start with season 101 and all the characters are tired and done with their own show. Didn't get very far, but I worked them in anyway.

Oh that's true, never made the connection that they were the characters in that part of the bad water section. And I guess I didn't even count That cat and That mouse, because they feel like they're somehow the medium that the rest of the comic is swimming in. Can a character dynamic be a setting? Anyway I love how this comic freely moseys in and out of continuities, and I guess "sometimes there are returning characters and sometimes not" fits into that pretty well, so... cool.
