Also, manga reader here, I've been very pleased and impressed with the love and care the studio has taken to adapt this series. The movie-length first episode was a bold move, but a necessary one that I'd say was very successful. For reference, the author of the manga is the same as Kaguya-Sama Love is War

That's less than minimum wage in the US. The adaptation of the manga is basically 1 to 1. It's really great Oh and Doga Kobo is the animation studio. They had a popular show drop last year called Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie.
