As a manga reader I think this season is pretty dope so far even though the anime has definitely taken some liberties.

First of all Einar never really put any force onto Throfinn’s neck because he started screaming basically in the same moment and that stopped Einer (I intended the “damn it” at the end like a mental block more than a physical one). Second during Thorfinn’s dream the first person sequence is the same as when he sieged the city in episode 7 back in season 1, and the woman who’s head he’d cut off is the same that took him in and then thorfinn “sold off” her village to Askeladd for plunder. Also the last shot was Canute
