Waiting two years might be the move to give more production time to animators to have more high quality stuff. Just doing the one year isn’t good enough. Look at bleach and chainsaw man they took years to get it ready and it was great pacing, art/animation. I think with seasonal anime you'll need at least 2 years of production/preparation so you don’t have any issues
