Yeah, that's part of why i haven't watched a lot of them, my dad brought me up on Jay Ward stuff which is really great. Jay Ward animation is pretty minimal as a joke but sometimes there's those few scenes here and there that have exquisite detail for no reason, it's nuts. WHOA, That clip is what I'm talking about! Mostly standard HB animation with trippy filters, but then the sketchy bear in the blue dancing at you! Wacky!
