I know I'm suuuuuper late to respond, but the current episodes in the anime airing rn are covering the 6 month time skip that happened in the manga to allow the manga to get ahead of the anime. idk if that's still the case now since its been a bit bit since the show was on air and the manga had plenty of time to play catch up, but that's the sitch from what i recall.

ALSO YOSHIHARA THE DIRECTOR IS STORYBOARDING EPISODE 136 so it could be a really good episode or action sequence at the bare minimum

Probably the author left that space purposedly so the anime can get away from the manga a little bit. This arc is supervised by Black Clover's mangaka himself and it shows what happened during the timeskip, that training

2020-07-08 11:47:06 +0000 UTCYea Adonis there is a time skip of 6 months and in the manga Tabata went directly into the time skip so we skipped 6 months and right into the sauce. This anime original arc is being made to show what happened in those 6 months. It's probably gonna be around 12 to 12 episodes which are all overseen by Yuki Tabata.
