The show is a slow starter, you really should give it some time. It would be a shame if it ended like JoJo. You will not regret it.... i am sure :) I think the main hindrance for you to enjoy this kind of Anime, is the expectasion you have for a "good" anime. This is not a Shounen Anime like Naruto as an example... It's vastly different and does not try to do the same thing. It's not much about the fights and the way to achieve some awesome powers to save the world. This also is the case for Fate/Zero, where it's not much about the fights, but more about the ideologies and beliefs of the characters and their development. Parasyte is like Fate Zero very good at it. So try another perspective if possible... You could enjoy it way more this way, because Parasyte is definetly not some medicore Anime.(just like Fate/Zero) It's widely known to be a very good Anime and many people do put this anime in their favourite list. ( rightfully so ) But there is nothing wrong about not liking this kind of Anime. If you only enjoy shounen-type Anime thats totally fine. If you end up not liking Parasyte, it just means that this kind Anime is not suited for you, which is totally fine like i said before.
