In the past couple of years, I've begun leaning more into the sweatyness of on-the-nose jokes like this and some others thru-out hiagb. mostly due to realizing that is just how my brain works. it collects and regurgitates what it's already seen and it's gonna look like a lot of other things. I'd rather own up to it than try to hide from it or get embarrassed when someone says it looks like something else, which is true but feels sometimes like it's an attack on my work (it's not!).

maybe that's what makes it seem sweaty, but i've got a small plot-related thing for cowboy emerson to bring up, so they're not totally out of the blue useless and one-off. Anyway, i drew a whole bunch in this one, so CUT ME SOME SLACK!!!!!! (yelling at myself, not you)
