It pained SO MUCH when Bee started to distance themselves from the MC, even if it’s because of themselves instead of the RV. They barred the door after the ending of Book 1, if you chose their route. I’m crying rn, I love them so much, I still have to make an essay about them in romance, same as I did to the other characters y.y It’s just so fucking depressive for me from Lara’s POV. Because not only she feels extreme guilt about bringing Bee to Fernweh, but also for them to see the supernatural tourist horrors that the city has to offer :( It’s literally adding up to a pile of guilt and self admonishment she has on herself. And like, the fact they STILL ARE OVERLY SUPPORTIVE??? It is too much for me, I love them so much. Ah, the theories I have for this smoochable bff are endless <3

The protectiveness, looking out for the MC first - with everything that the MC is going through, B is always going to be there. Ahhh, I love how it's choice dependent too - I've been playing around with gently not letting B know what's going on - can't wait to see how this affects the future as Jam wants to protect B from Fernweh weirdness and B wants to protect Jam from Fernweh weirdness. 🥺

The fact that B Warrick cares for MC ends me in the best way possible because like? Not only B and MC are the closest people from after Fernweh leaving but it's also... If you're romancing? It's like each other's world at that point. The safety, the lighthouse (as you've once mentioned), the comfort. I love the "merciful/cruel" state and the "B Warrick will /choose/ who to protect". It gives a unique awareness that YOUR ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!! I love it, a lot. I love how it affects a character and their view of each other. SO NOW ITS ME TIME TO GO TALK ABOUT BEEZ. I like to think about how Book 1 vs Book 2 BeeZ are changing in terms of who usually protects who and why. They're still overly protective of each other, but Zarina is acting nicer to the gang because Book 1 solved the years of misunderstandings, but... It also still leaves the horrors in the future so Beckett, who is used to see Zarina as the 'aloof, strong and leading one' sees the shattering and the weight everything puts on her, which awakens the protectiveness: If you are struggling, I'll be here to help you. Like in one shot you wrote about the aftermath of Book 1 with Dorrans? The way Bee notices the far away stare? The headaches? Also the fear Beckett experiences in Alpha Drop of Book 2 when it comes to Ouroboros and fearing how the town will affect her? I'm literally screaming. So I am both crying and kicking my feet here watching how B. Warrick's care shines through, the protectiveness rises because things get more tense and the Fernweh citizens cannot /really/ help because they, too, are victims. So Beckett has to prioritize someone in BeeZ and I'm crying on the floor. I love them, your honor. I just think about Beckett doing this for Zarina and her response would always be such... genuine appreciation and love. Beckett has been there for her at her worst and he continues to be supportive? Shes' melting, she appreciates him so much; but god does she feel bad for making him worry about her because she thinks SHE is supposed to protect him because they got here because of HER. I just. I love this. I love them. I love this everything, Aelsa. Thank you for this. I will weep forever in the best way. So excited for more!!
