Answer: 

You: My love for Bee helps me see past their taste in color! 🥰

Me: Isn't it interesting how B's hoodie is orange and at the end of Book One they're trapped—imprisoned—in Fernweh. 😎 There are some color theory ~reasons~ and the sunrise link with their Chapter 13 lyrics, but that's ironic, isn't it? It also makes them stand out in a crowd, hm. 

Specifically, this part: "the crime of liking orange" is what sparked some dark humor about what ends up happening.

Perhaps, I was playing the long-game with B's wardrobe given the first book's ending. 😉

In case you might have missed it: 'Dress to Impress' features a memorable line about R. Verner's opinion on your dear friend's color choice. This writing is in R's perspective when first seeing the MC in Fernweh after their return visit. I'll include the specific lines below:

A vibrant blot of orange draws his attention away from the frozen stoplight he is currently suffering through, even though there are  hardly any cars out. That's a bold choice. He observes the person in the  hoodie, noting how the few citizens going about their day seem to be  doing the same thing in a much more obvious way. It takes a second for  him to realize what could merit attention from Fernweh's community.

A visitor…?

The half-formed thought dissipates when he sees that the sentient orange juice box isn't alone.

It's you.

It must be.

R. Verner can also make three other references to B's color affinity; however, only one is fixed that everyone will come across during Book Two! (It's only teasing, dw.) The other occurs on Bee's romance route, while the last one is choice/route dependent to unlock.
