Extended Progress Update: 8 March 2024

Key highlights of this update and reminders:

• My typical gentle nudge to remember to add my email address can be found here. It's important for the TFS character portrait inquiries and welcome message I promptly send out. Also, remember to check your spam folder and to reach out to me, if needed.
• Writing, writing, writing, and even more writing! 📚 I'm close to finishing something; hopefully, I don't tease it too much in this update due to excitement. >.>
• Our March content is underway! I need to finish creating the header image for one of the writings. I can't wait for you to read about childhood Fernweh dynamics too. 🌲
• Book Two Snippet: Bee softness, which makes sense since I think bees are technically fuzzy? 🐝🤔 (At least they look that way in zoomed in footage.) 

My writing blitz is still blitzing. 🥰 (Why don't they have a blender emoji?) In fact, I plan to have this chapter finished by the end of the month, though more realistically it should be completed (base written) in the next week once I finalize a path through it. It's a long one while also being more branched, which is something you'll recognize from Chapter 2. 

The chapter itself contains so much; however, tailoring it by choice and romance route adds more to that exploration/replay aspect. 

Some fun additions that I can comfortably tease are: bestie scenes and Mal! 

In past updates, you've read about how this particular nightmare draws on past trauma and includes RO hurt/comfort scenes; however, your bestie will also get time to shine. They can interact with the MC and their RO(s). 💞. This leads to fun exchanges and shows the social dynamics outside of yours. Let's take a R-mancer with a S bestie 🖤💙, you'll notice S also checks on R's well-being and the two behave uniquely around each other, teasing and being more open. With a B-mancer and R bestie 🧡🖤, you might notice that R's support takes B by surprise! (The two of them can grow closer with time along with your choices.) All of the combinations are present; I'll let you uncover them!

The other aspect is how Mal can uniquely come into play in this section. The 'how/why' of it is too spoilery, but I suspect the choice is going to be hard on many of you, a lot of pausing. That being said, I loved writing the variation for this particular (landline) phone call! The way their tone differs towards MC's who are insisting on secrecy to those who are only seeking spice to those who are expressing genuine care is something to watch out for. 👁️👁️ (There's also a fourth variation for the call that's somewhat difficult to trigger.)

After this post publishes, I intend to get back to working on this section that has segments, so this chapter's design could be compared to a bag of clementines. 🍊

(It's a nice 'warm-up' (I'm kidding) for the upcoming Corvin dinner chapter, mygosh.) 

Still, that's in the future! We have many posts on the horizon, but I'm particularly eager for you all to read this month's bonus writings that have past insight with the young Fernweh Gang. 🥰 In general, group dynamics tend to come up in our content since I enjoy them along with the RO(s) spotlight. These have nostalgia while also giving you more to look forward to in the main series; you'll be learning more!

This talk of variation makes me more excited for our next alpha drop! ✨

"Pfft, no I'm not," Beckett weakly disagrees, already smiling more after your compliment.

"Did you know disagreeing with me only raises your cuteness to 'adorable'?" you easily tease him. You hide your face behind the camera when he tries to sulk about your word choice because your amused grin wouldn't help things. He's relaxed to a degree, which is why you quickly snap the picture.

Becca

This is a choice for B-mancers! I think most of us would agree that B is sweet though.
