Augh, the friendship connection between B and the returning visitor. For Joshua, I feel like this is something pivotal for him, a real friendship after years of thinking he was unwanted and while knowing people, not connecting with them and having a friend that really understood him. Headcanon that B and Josh met in college so like from 15-18(ish), Joshua was mourning and not feeling like he was um, present in life? Just going through the motions? Plus, all his best childhood memories turning bittersweet (JANE). S's is so sweet, I always view Silas/Sofia as so confident and comfortable with themselves, I'm treasuring their favorite moment being their mother at a time they were nervous. π January's best memories are always going to involve everyone, J, S and R, she's just going to fire off, "REMEMBER WHEN (some crazy thing Jam and R planned that was incredibly fun)"

I'm glad that you enjoyed reading about the specific reasons and what the characters tend to gravitate towards when reflecting. J's in particular can tear at the heartstrings; I got in my feels while writing Never Can Say Goodbye. I'm hoping that some of the bestie and friendship scenes can build off of the slowly repairing bond from Book One. (Well, it's rekindling if the MC is kind to J, thought I'm not worried about that at all with Zarina. She has such a fierce love for her dear ones. π) Lol, the LET ME IN.meme is perfection for Mal. They say just enough to make you want to know more, my gosh I'm so happy Zarina also treasures the memory of her first meeting with Bee! π₯° Especially that it is essential to her; that makes me melt even more for the two of them relating in such a deep way. They are each other's certainty.

Oh, I relate to you there as well. π I just know J would be deeply moved by Noire (or any of your MCs, but I think Noire is besties with them, iirc) inviting them to a bestie sleepover. It would start to heal some of the wounds left by the absence. It would be adorable too! π₯°

Mal will sometimes be a bit tongue-in-cheek about it with certain MCs, probably not your sweetheart one though. π

I adore reading the reasons and the types of memories that are specific to them: what makes them smile or feel nostalgic, what type of memories they hold closer than others. I relate heavily to both R and S in terms of what memories I treasure and it was such a personal connection reading their reasons for that. I loved it. J, as always, makes me sob because J CORVIN PLEASE I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TISSUES FOR THIS. It doesn't help how Zarina and J were in Book 1 either :') Mal's answers, as always, make me zoom in because WHAT DO YOU HIDE OUR FAVORITE RED FLAG??? The air of mystery surrounding them will always make me want to learn more, even if it's dangerous. LET ME INNNNNNNNNN.meme But I need to cry over B's memories specifically from Zarina's side because I'm crying sobbing rolling on the floor that one of their treasured memories is meeting MC. Not me already writing their first meeting fanfic for the last couple of days and sobbing over it. She treasures their first meeting as well and it's one of the most essential memories. It also makes me wonder what type of memories each MC might treasure as well.

2024-01-23 13:31:50 +0000 UTCs is so valid bc i too would be filled to the brim with unrelenting joy and pride with mrs. dorran cheering me on and j mY HEART. as someone who also missed out on a lot of normal childhood things (like sleepovers, birthday parties, etc) it rly does leave an impression to have it later in your life and with someone you trust so much. i can't wait to invite j back for another bestie sleepover and give them those happy times back.
