[Dog_Name] woofing at Mal causes your surprise to heighten since that's the first peep you've heard out of her tonight.
Was that a bark of βhello' or a warning? π We do know from some past facts that Mal has a soft spot for strays, so that's a promising sign. Mal has no ill will towards the puppy, just some one-liners about the RO's suggested name, but aside from that, they're all good with her. :D

Itβs okay Mal, my returning visitor follows you around like a puppy anyway π If the diner has an outdoor seating area, Mal may have both their puppy and the dog waiting for them at the end of the work day π₯°
