Hi Everyone,
This post will deal with a character from TFS that many of you have come to love despite how his appearances in Book One tend to coincide with some tension or eeriness. 🦌 I wanted to share the symbolism and why I chose to include a baby deer within the world of Fernweh who can have a recurring presence within the series depending on your choices. There are actually three distinct reasons as to why I wanted a fawn to be one of the first Fernwehian (?) characters the MC encounters.

I'm loving that you made this canon for Sparrow; ngl, I can see him being anguished over having accidentally killed the fawn, but also really dedicated to trying to save it. He's passionate. Also, same! Writing those variations with the Momma deer did make me a bit sad as well, so I'm happy that translated to readers too. She can range from angry to just heartbroken... But at least Sparrow tried to save Bambi! Thank you; there's a lot of love in TFS. It's an honor to share it with you all.

I felt so bad, but also Sparrow feeling absolute guilt and his stubborn desperation of trying to have to stay alive? Even as J and the others tell him it won'twork, having MC respond with "I'll do it myself!" *chef kiss* sorry Sparrow, fawn death is your canon. When you see the mother alone without the fawn at the end, its so sad omg. Anyways Deer are one of my top favorite animals and once again loving all the thought you put into everything, everything just oozes love for this story!
