The damp, salty sea air clings to you just as surely as the chill seeps into your bones. The tower stands firm against the wrath of the ocean gods, but holds no comfort or safety within. A lonely monument to those lost to the depths.

You descend down into the darkened stairs, careful of the cracks weeping sea water and tiny denizens scurrying about. A faint light emerges from the chamber ahead. A place of rest and memorial for those lost at sea; and one of offering for those about to set out...

This is one of those maps where I can really smell and hear the location by looking at it. A solid damp oppression that seeps all the warmth from your bones with the alluring sea scents....or maybe the air is a bit more rank like some low tides. Either way, this set was a labor of love that I've been fighting for a while now. It started with some good energy, went a little dark, and then became a much more involved project. I wanted to continue the world build up in Deepwater Throne and The Lighthouse. The concept is that this map is the lowest floor of the lighthouse; either at water level with tidal flooding or below with an window into the deep via a magical barrier. The dimensions of course, don't quite add up as I tend to overscale my interiors (this is why no grid formats exist for those more inclined for realistic measurements). Which means eventually, we'll have to explore even further for a whole new multi level tower map. I can't wait to see where that leads!
