The smell of sulfur and red hot iron rise from below. Before you, a long walk across the Titan's Blade. The throne of the Forgemaster, bathed in the light of a thousand molten swords, flowing from the crucible of offerings.
Ancient dwarf lord? Fire Giant King? A fallen demi-god? Whoever sits on that throne definitely has a story to tell. This map is a long one, letting you plan a crowded audience chamber, for a dramatic meeting that ends with the party fleeing, swords drawn. Or are they approaching the lair to slay the big bad? Variants for this one range from narrative setting changes to field changes that ass vertical elements to your encounters. Position enemies on the stairs or scaffolds to deter any rash actions by the party. Or perhaps watch your players toss a few enemies over the cliff edge into the fiery abyss below.
