Seeing older animes from the 80s really does give you a perspective on just how far animation has come in general in just 4 to 5 decades. I remember watching the original fist of the north star from 1983 and a looooot of that shows animation looked like literal dookie butter. dragonball and many other shows of that time just had similar problems most likely because of the studios having to pump out an episode a week, leading to poorer quality and higher use of stop frames. But compare DBZ to even Super and yeah super looked kinda goofy in the beginning but the color usage and shading and even some key animation was still wayyy better than it wouldve been had it come out decades ago. But even though I didnt grow up in the 80s theres still that nostalgic fascination with older series like fotns, dbz, or city hunter, b e c a u s e they had different animation styles. So even though its older it feels new to me because its not what im used to nowadays. I hope that future generations can enjoy older series the same way without disregarding them entirely and just chucking them to the trashbin instead of actually giving them a chance. Like people 30 years from now will probably look at all the great shows that came out in the 2010s the same way we look at series from the 80s and 90s. Its all bout that perspective 👌
