Beauty Salon Tweak Mod

Introduction:

Welcome to my very first mod! The Beauty Salon Tweak Mod. I have been obsessed with the All-In-One Makeup Chair that came with the Get Famous pack and also wanted to explore it along with more features in the game to bring more realism. After doing research and lots of trial and error, I’ve figured out a way to have a functional beauty salon for your game! But that’s not all—this mod comes with custom interactions, a new lot trait, and a new event that you and your Sims will love! This is still a new mod and will expand more in the future, so please leave ideas and input below. Now, let’s get into how this mod works.

How it Works:

For starters, this mod requires the base game, Get Famous, and Get to Work. The Get Famous pack provides the functional All-In-One Makeup Chair, which is central to the beauty salon experience. The Get to Work pack is necessary for the Retail Store aspect, which supports the new lot trait and allows hair stylists to generate.

When placing your beauty salon build (whether it’s one you created or one you found on the Gallery), place it on a preferred lot and change the lot type to Retail. You will then find the new Beauty Salon lot trait available. Make sure to place the All-In-One Makeup Chair on the lot. For every stylist chair placed on the lot, a hairstylist will appear for their shift at that chair, ensuring a fully operational beauty salon.

For the “At Home Hair Appointment” feature, plan a social event and select the “At Home Hair Appointment” event. There will be a fee for this event, after which you can choose up to 3 Sims in the household to get their hair done. You will also select which stylist will come over to do their hair. Remember to place the All-In-One Makeup Chair in your home so that the stylist can perform their work.

Custom Interactions and Gameplay:

This mod introduces new phone and social interactions to enhance your gameplay!

You can now book a hair appointment via the Shopping tab on your Sim's phone. During the booking process, there will be a few questions to confirm the appointment. (I’m still learning and working on new features to make this as realistic and dynamic as possible, so stay tuned for updates.) This feature aims to add more realism to your gameplay.

New social interactions include “Worry about Hair Growth,” “Compliment Haircut,” and “Joke About Wigs.” These interactions provide your Sims with new conversation topics and ways to engage with others. (I’m still in the process of creating buffs for these interactions, but rest assured, updates are on the way.) Additionally, there are interactions specifically tailored for certain genders.
