July 2023 Monthly Update

Meowdy, y'all,

Today's update will be a little on the short side, but that's not because we haven't been busy!

Of course, one of the biggest things was that we attended OffKai Expo in San Francisco! The turnout for our booth and panels was incredible, and it was awesome seeing folks in person. Thanks to everyone who showed up! We're going to start trying to attend a lot more cons, so hopefully we'll be able to see more of y'all at an event near you. Right now we're mostly sticking to the Western US, but if things work out, we'd love to try some east coast cons too. Who knows, maybe someday we'll even be able to attend some overseas ones too!

The main thing we were selling was the physical game copies, which arrived just days prior to the event. Now that OKE and Anime Expo are both over and done with, we're going to be getting started on fulfilling Kickstarter orders next week! In fact, some orders have already been packed and sent out, but we have to wait for more shipping materials to arrive before we can start sending out the rest. All orders will be filled by the end of this month! Once you get yours, we'd love to see! If you take a pic, tag us on social media and we'll share it!

In terms of game progress, it's been more of the same: we're chipping away at Samayuuni and our other projects, and it's coming along pretty smoothly. Now that we're a good way into development for Summer, we're gonna try to start doing some more technical posts on here about it. Right now though, we're still working hard on the demo, which we want to have complete before we show too much. We're currently planning to release the demo sometime around September.

We're also starting to plan something else for September: this year's Élan Festival! Last year was our first year hosting it, and we've been thinking about the next one ever since. Stay tuned on more information for that soon…

Finally, you may have seen this funky little teaser we posted on Twitter a couple days ago. Astute followers have probably seen the prototype Meemo in all her glory on our Twitter, but we'll be doing the full reveal soon. However, we wanted to give you guys heads up to know that she'll be going on sale on July 17th, and will cost $30 plus shipping, and she ships worldwide. We're excited for you all to have your very own Meemos - I can say with confidence that she is very soft and huggable.
