2025-11-10 15:31:07 +0000 UTCThat is insane…I had shoulder dystocia with my daughter and I am so grateful that I was in a hospital. It actually took several minutes to get her out after she got stuck and they said that the general rule is that they need to get them out within a minute if at all possible so I was incredibly lucky she didn’t suffer a lack of oxygen. They were literally about ready to break her collar bones to help get her out when someone just took scissors, cut me, and practically reached up to pull her out. It was extremely traumatic and if we had done a home birth I have no doubt whatsoever that she would have died
