Anti-cheat related stuff

So some of you may or may not know that for NCA (NA/EU BNS) the staff has received new "tools" to detect cheaters and gave an ultimatum that players have till the 29th of July 2024 to stop using "cheats". I'm here to talk about it so lets talk.

What do I know?
I know that is a new set of tools to monitor cheaters, in short it's something that can easily parse and filter through the vast logs the game produces. If you're doing stuff that you shouldn't be doing such as speeding (time dilation), flying and using auto combat in zones where it's not normally available you will most likely be caught, flagged and banned temporarily for 7 days on your first offense, continue strikes will obviously lead to a permanent ban.

What will I do?
Nothing, there's nothing for me to do to. I can't hide you from the games logs. You'll just have to stop using such things or just stop using modifications entirely. While I am certain of what they'll be using to detect cheaters they have stated that they will be going after the most egregious offenders (speeding, flying, botting etc). If you're being discrete enough then you may not have an issue or are just using small things like extended options for performance tweaks etc.

Ultimately there is no certainty what will and will not be safe so it's up to you whether you want to take the risk. The main features of the QOL plugin are the more egregious "cheats" that will most certainly get you banned, the only exceptions being things like auto soup as those are not easy to log.

What should you do?
Whatever is up to you, whether you want to keep taking that risk or not is entirely up to you just know I am not responsible so don't come blaming me if you get banned. If you do continue to keep doing naughty things you should get the antibb plugin from my mega. This may reduce your risk or could increase it.

What could possibly get you banned?

• Time Dilation (Speed hacking)
  Groundspeed may be harder for them to detect but use at your own risk

• Fly hacking

• Auto Combat

• Auto Fishing bait
  This "could" potentially get you banned but I honestly doubt they'll be looking for this

• Infinite Wall Run
  This "could" potentially get you banned but I honestly do not know if they can log this behavior, I want to say no but it's 50/50

• No Camera Lock
  Again "could" get you banned but I doubt they'll be looking for this

• GCD
  Throwing it out there, it's definitely possible but it would be really hard for them to see this

• Disable Gravity
  Could...? The way I do it is very different then what others have done so I honestly don't know.

• No target cast conditions
  It's definitely possible but like GCD it would be hard to see for them

What i've listed above is things that could or will get you banned. Anything with notes below them are 50/50. Anything without notes will most definitely get you banned. They'll be going through logs of the server, every action you do in the game is logged on the server and I have a really good understanding of what is logged. They've already stated that they'll mostly be targeting users that are using things like a speed hack (time dilation), fly hacking and anything bot-like (auto combat in zones that you shouldn't). Everything else is logged but is either not being targeted or will be really hard to see in the logs.

Of course this is all educated guessing and I have around 4 years of experience reverse engineering this game with having PDB (source-like) access. At the end of the day you are taking a risk, always have been. Only now they're paying a bit more attention.

Again I say this affects the North American and European regions, regions like TW are unknown of their stance.
