I agree with a lot of the comments here. If Maddy had started from the top with a feminine leaning personality, the fandom would have annihilated her. I have to think that she knows that. I figured out what's off about Orion's eye makeup. I don't think she uses eyeliner at all. She doesn't do a wing or darken the outer corner of her eye at all. So she paints kind of big around her eyes but doesn't add any real dimension with shading or liner. She just puts a lash on.

My thoughts on Maddy: I agree for the most part. But the thing about acting more femme or acting gay could be seen as appropriation in some way. I think she will be critiqued either way. By being more butch people think she is not “gay enough” and if she was sassing and yassing around people would say she is making fun of queer people or say that she is not straight bc of how she acts. So I think she might be trying to tone it down/not lean into it so as to not upset and offend the community. I know I would do the same if I was her. I would be scared on how I would be received if I was acting like a minority group in their space. Idk. I don’t think she has a lot of choices bc either way it will not save her from the public’s opinions. It’s a thought spot for her, and I think she just chose the path of not making it seem like she is making fun of gays, which would be unforgivable.
