Here Comes Trouble

Background painting is a heavily modified photo I took during my trip out west to California, last year.

To tell the truth, I somewhat cheated on the bike. It's a 3d model, mostly built out of pieces from a couple of different chopper models I had left over from my toy industry days. I built a couple new parts for it, most notably the straight pipes on the back. The linework was run off using a 2d shader called FinalToon. Also, while most of the model is hand-colored (including the custom paint on the tank) and while the FX work is all photoshop, the chrome is reflection-mapped on the model.
