Inside SA - Computer and Airshield
Added 2016-12-11 00:12:18 +0000 UTCAs it's finally the weekend again, I've been able to poke my nose back into working on Starship Awesome, as it's the current piece of the big hobby project being tinkered with.
I thought I'd take the opportunity to take you on a little tour. The ship's mostly done now, just a few little things left to fix up.
Anyway, here we are inside looking at the computer, which sits on the starboard side of the passenger cabin, next to the access ramp. It serves multiple functions and can tie into most ship systems. Including scanning, communications, datanet access, and access to the ship's memory bank. A portable workspace for the ambassador on the go.
The blue glow around the access ramp shows that the air shield is on, a semi-permeable protective energy barrier that allows the rampway to act as a sort of miniature airlock.
