2020-01-04 09:54:34 +0000 UTCI'm way late to respond, but I believe your mystery cylinder/actuator can be seen in the first 5-15 seconds of this video https://youtu.be/xiqaWOMqS4I it's a conveyor for making manufacturing cells with multiple processes. So you add one of those as a bumper and stop at each step (where you'll have a robot or something performing work on the piece on the pallet) and then the cylinder will drop and allow the pallet to go on to the next station.
