EXCITING NEWS for VA101!
Added 2024-07-11 13:24:35 +0000 UTCVA101 is coming back as a monthly podcast… with three PERMANENT co-hosts, all of whom are actors! If any one of them can’t make it we’ll swap in another actor so we can still chat with other actors :).
It’ll be going up on the Play, Watch, Listen YouTube channel! I will announce the co-hosts here before it’s announced publicly, probably in a few weeks :). I’m very sure you’re gonna love them.
That said, now that it’s not strictly an interview show, I need some topic ideas! Anything you’d like to see a group of actors delve into?

I thought this one had gone a bit quiet, should have known you were cooking 😄. Something I’m interested in is when you get a great performance eg Ben Starr in FFXVI, To what extent is that down go the actor, director and / or writer? Obviously you need all three, but how do the three elements interact and combine to create what we hear and see in the game? Can anyone talk about a time when writing or direction inspired them to push their limits?

Is there much room for improvisation in a role, or is it very much on script? If you could have come up with a line or catchphrase what would it be and why? My favourite is "You're gonna need a bigger boat”.
