Audio versions of VGW101 & VA101!
Added 2022-08-25 01:00:52 +0000 UTCAs an FYI, due a recent permissions issue with Google and audio podcasts, I’ve decided to make the audio versions of both Video Game Writing 101 and Voice Acting 101 patreon exclusive. I’m not positive this is the right call but since they also get such low listenership in general anyway versus the cost of hosting them on those platforms, it feels like it makes sense. Essentially also means anyone Charmeleon tier and above is getting better value, since it’s now exclusive for you!
That said: if you’re a patron and still way prefer listening to them publicly on audio services for some reason, please let me know! I’m not a podcast listener so I’m not aware of what the differing perspectives may be.

I do tend to listen to them on my drive to and from work using Apple CarPlay and I don’t think there’s a Patreon integration. It’s not the end of the world, I just need to make sure I keep up to date because it won’t just show up as part of the podcast subscription

2022-08-25 13:36:52 +0000 UTCForgive me as my brain doesn't always compute things correctly, but I assume that means our only means of watch either is via the video format here? I only ask as I love watching the show on TV via the youtube app, but I'm not sure if it's still on YouTube just not in the public form. Again, sorry if I'm just being silly confused

2022-08-25 07:40:55 +0000 UTCGiven that they get such low listenership I think it's a good call. Given the things you're already pouring time and money in that the public gets totally free of charge, why not put a little price tag on some of the content that also really brings something to the listener. And it's not like it's a huge price tag. I mean, there's people out there that charge 15 bucks a month just to listen to them.
