Finally, I have added wetness! This time modeled by me instead of non-descript male wax sculpture!
The reason this all took so long (nearly 3 weeks (with break to do a commission)) was because I engineered the hell out of this thing so it could be versatile and functional. There's custom controls for basically everything, from randomized variations in the stretch patterns to control over the color, size and location of all parts of the design on the front, and more! All of this so I can use it quickly and easily with my upcoming commission YCH batch
Of course, there were issues. I ran to so many technical problems with this one it took ages to get right, but I powered through them all eventually and came out with something that is passable.
The biggest issue, amongg others, boils down to there being a limit to how many image files a shader can use. Also, how many custom attributes a shader can use. Both were quite hard to troubleshoot because these limits cause some unpredictable behaviors. But I do what I always do and plugged things into other things until the problem became clear and I finally googled it.
Fortunately there was a complete workaround for the attributes limit, and kind-of workaround for the image issue: Just pack the images into a single large image (make an image atlas.)
I probably should have done that in the first place, but hey now I found out you can't just endlessly stack image textures an add them together.
In the near future I will make this blend file (without Krayne or the ARC logo or all the other clutter it has rn) available to patrons, then when demand for this commission set dries up, I'll post it on Gumroad for free!
