The Aswang
Added 2024-08-27 10:46:57 +0000 UTCHey all! Have you caught the latest episode yet? Was really fun delving into a mythology that I had zero knowledge of when starting to put together the episode. Has been specifically lovely reading the comments from people in the Philippines in response to it. I'll be back with you all next week with something a little more well known but equally weird and creepy. AND Night Drive Paranormal will be returning as well. Summer is coming to an end, it's nearly time to start getting back to the darkness...

Oh absolutely some hoaxing going on. But the thought of some shape shifter walking into the gated building to kill children is rather creepy indeed!

2024-09-01 10:24:11 +0000 UTCIt was fascinating. Recently watched GyeongSeong Creature, and the non-bioweapon-modified version of the monster reminded me strongly of this episode.

2024-08-28 10:04:14 +0000 UTCYes, I just did. Fall is upon us, especially Halloween, in which is my favorite holiday of the year because of how fun and spooky it is. I can't wait to see what you'll be delving into these upcoming months 👻

2024-08-27 18:53:30 +0000 UTCI regret that it didn't even cross my mind to look this up before making the video, could have included some of these clips. The few that I just watched feel like hoaxes but they are damn creepy.

2024-08-27 18:52:48 +0000 UTCI did not consider the positive aspect of having something to blame on losing a child. Very interesting.

2024-08-27 18:49:35 +0000 UTCPossibly. I can see how that could contribute to why they would believe it. I can tell you from my family in Greece they absolutely 💯 believe what has been passed down through generations. Some inexplicable things I have seen while there do pertain to exactly what was passed down. I believe it to an extent. There really was no explanation other than what I was being told it could be. Shockingly. I had no prior knowledge and experienced what they had experienced at different times of course. It was crazy! I still can't quite reconcile it all. I searched for any and every possible explanation. There simply weren't any. Some of these "legends" appear to be all too real.

2024-08-27 18:04:45 +0000 UTCHave you seen the supposedly "real" video of the Aswang on Paranormal Caught on Camera? That video was how I learned what the Aswang was. I tried to link it but it won't let me. So search with the details I gave you (on YouTube) and u should find it. Tell me your thoughts once you see it! And I loved your video, as always!!

2024-08-27 17:57:55 +0000 UTCI was wondering if in part this legend wasn’t to explain the terrors that can happen in childbirth- I can imagine it might have been some type of comfort to a woman who lost her child to be able to put a name on it and try to protect as best you can against it, have some control and externalize the fear. probably helped some mothers not be burdened with guilt. Sometimes if you loose a child , miscarry a child, there can be some guilt and wondering what you did wrong to loose it. It’s sort of a beautiful legend in that way, if it helped some women through a very tough time. Sometimes I think about the culture, time or other things like human psychology when I hear legends. I’m not sure if this reasoning had anything to do with it but that’s some of what I wondered about listening to the story.

2024-08-27 17:44:46 +0000 UTCNo worries 😊 Not only do the mistakes we make in life often help make us better, but they also keep us grounded and remind us that we are only human after all and never perfect 🥰 You are doing great, just keep being you! Loved the episode by the way, as always ❤️

2024-08-27 17:26:58 +0000 UTCLoved this episode ❤️ very creepy and terrifying at the thought of it being true. Usually when something is repeated and possibly witnessed over generations it has a kernel of truth. If not altogether true. I get chills thinking about it. 👻☠️💖
